Susan Teitelman joins the Flathead Lakers as our Legislative Intern
This January, Susan Teitelman joined the Flathead Lakers as our Legislative Intern for the upcoming legislative session.
Susan is a recent graduate of the Environmental Studies graduate program at the University of Montana, where her focus areas were ethnobotany (how people use plants), Traditional Ecological Knowledge, and environmental justice. Prior to returning to school, she was a practicing herbalist where she spent a lot of time learning about our regional landscapes and waterscapes through a botanical lens.
Susan has lived in Missoula for ten years, and enjoys continuing to learn about the many aspects of this place -- history, cultures, politics, and the natural environment -- and how they are all interconnected. Like most Montanans, she love to recreate, so she can often be found cross country skiing, hiking, and botanizing in the mountains. Susan is dedicated to protecting Western Montana's ecosystems, and excited to be a part of Flathead Lakers' work during this legislative session!
Welcome to the team Susan!
