Brian Campbell
Having lived on Flathead Lake since 1970, Brian has loved recreating on the lake and appreciated its serene beauty since childhood. He’s always felt fortunate for the opportunity to put his biology degree from the University of Montana to use with a career in the cherry business, allowing him to raise his family on Finley Point. His career required plenty of outdoor work with the lake always in view, and hours that allowed a quick swim, a little more time for a ski, or even a sail- the duration of which is often in the hands of what the lake has in mind that particular day.
Now semi-retired, Brian operates his orchard on Finley Point and still holds the position as field-consultant for Monson Fruit Co. in Washington and the Flathead Lake Cherry Growers Co-Op, which gives him a first hand knowledge of most all the agriculture along the lake’s shores.
Brian came into existence the very same year as the Lakers, and had often imagined the day he would have the opportunity to serve with them. He’s witnessed how more and more people have come to realize what a rare and precious asset Flathead’s waters are. Consequently more and more people have come here to enjoy them, and subsequently, it will be more and more of a challenge to keep Flathead Lake the iconic jewel that it is. Brian feels that the Lakers organization is the best avenue to meet this challenge, and he’s looking forward to being an integral part of their efforts.
