Due to the spread of the coronavirus, we wanted to update our Flathead Lakers membership and community on some changes to our events this spring.
Out of a sense of caution and care for all, we have decided to begin practicing social distancing, in an effort to help ‘Flatten the Curve’ of the coronavirus. Our Science on Tap events can draw crowds of over 100, and we recognize that the majority of our audience is in a vulnerable demographic. As much as we love our Science on Tap and other outreach events, reducing any contact can slow the spread and effects of this virus. It’s science.
During this hiatus, we will explore alternative ways to engage and communicate with our members and community online. Please add us to your email contacts list, , to ensure you receive our regular e-newsletters and e-mail announcements. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram (or have your children and grandchildren follow us!) We will keep you updated on events like Science on Tap, the grand opening of our new Polson office, and our annual meeting.
We hope you can enjoy the solace and peace that our Flathead Lake and watershed gives to us all, particularly during this challenging time. Science on Tap-Flathead will likely return on August 31, and we are currently solidifying an annual meeting date this summer.
