Originally from the West Coast, Kate brings a record of successful campaign work from community, labor, and political organizing. She has lived and worked around Montana for the last 10 years in public lands, public education, and sustainable agriculture issues.
Kate moved to Polson for the outdoor swimming Flathead Lake offers. As a competitive open water swimmer, she trains in Flathead Lake, and in July 2019, was a member of the first team to circumnavigate the Flathead Marine Trail (77 miles) via swim relay.
Kate holds a B.A. from St.Olaf College and a M.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana.
