Greg McCormick of Polson was born in Portland and raised in Arizona and California. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in social anthropology. After 20 years building boats and custom homes in Oregon and Washington, he moved to Montana in 1996. He currently is the construction manager for an architectural firm, a general contractor and custom woodworker.
Greg’s wife, Sue, is the Superintendent of Polson Public Schools. They live on the west shore of Flathead Lake near Polson, where they swim, kayak, row and sail.
“Maybe it was the contrasting environments of my youth that impressed me with the critical importance of water,” Greg said upon joining the board. “Flathead Lake is a rare resource; its water quality and the opportunities for people to enjoy it are very important to me and everyone in the area.”
