My husband Bob and I are passionate about keeping our beautiful Flathead Lake pristine and healthy. We belong to the Antique and Classic Boat Society and have traveled to many lakes in the U.S. and Canada for International Boat Shows. Without a doubt, ours is the most beautiful of all the lakes we’ve seen and we will do all we can to keep it that way.
Prior to moving to Montana we had a summer home on a high mountain lake in Grand Lake, Colorado. We watched helplessly as this lovely lake degraded to a weed-growing, toxic algae-blooming body of water. It was still beautiful, but there were times of the year when you couldn’t swim or sail. I have been a mother and homemaker for most of my life raising five children. My college major was Elementary Education, but it didn’t prepare me for the 24/7 job of motherhood! I have always been a volunteer on many community fundraising projects, including cofounding a fundraiser that raised money for a camp for head-injured kids through the Colorado Head Injury Foundation. I am delighted to join the Flathead Lakers board and look forward to devoting my efforts to protecting our beautiful lake.
