How much could invasive mussels cost Montana?

An economic study commissioned by the Montana Invasive Species Counsel estimates that invasive mussels could cost Montana $234 million in annual mitigation costs and lost revenue. 

This report by Flathead Lake Biological Station research scientist and environmental economist, and Flathead Lakers board member, Nanette Nelson confirms the critical importance of preventing the spread of invasive mussels and shows that what we invest today is well worth the cost.
