Celebrating over 60 years of impact, Flathead Lakers organization embarks on a search for new executive director.

Founded in 1958, the Flathead Lakers will begin a search to find a successor to Executive Director Robin Steinkraus.

Over many years the Lakers have expanded and strengthened their activities thanks to Robin’s leadership, committed staff, volunteer board, and over 1500 supporting members.  The board and Robin have been in discussion about the importance of succession after her long tenure.  The search formally begins in March with the target to have a successor in place by August 2019.

“Robin’s commitment to the Lakers and her abilities will not easily be replaced; she has helped build an organization able to attract a capable successor,” says Steve Rosso, outgoing Board President. “We are grateful for all she has contributed to the Lakers and the Board looks forward to strengthening our organization for years to come.”

The Lakers play a key role in protecting the waters of Flathead Lake and its watershed by identifying and successfully advocating for the maintenance of clean water, healthy ecosystems, and a lasting quality of life at the Lake and in the watershed.  The Lakers have steadily strengthened stewardship, education and membership programs.  The new Executive Director will build on a strong record of achievement and a sound financial base.
